Under the health-conscious life, ordinary toothbrushes and dental floss can no longer meet the needs of cleaning the oral cavity. To allow everyone to clean the hard-to-reach parts of the mouth at home, such as the gaps between the teeth, a water flosser has appeared on the market. How much do you know about water flossers?
Water flossers can generally be divided into stand type and portable type.
Machine base type: the water storage tank is set on the machine base, and the handle and machine base are connected by a pipe;
Portable: It only has a charging base, and the water storage tank is located at the handle.
Due to the large size of the stand-type water flosser, before purchasing, you should pay attention to whether there is enough space near the sink in the bathroom at home to place the water flosser stably. In addition, the stand-type dental floss must be directly connected to the power supply during operation.
The impact force of the water column released by the water flosser is not as big as possible, but generally, the water flosser with a pressure of less than 500 mm Hg cannot clean the deep periodontal area.
Generally, the water pressure source of water floss is the water pressure generated by the built-in pump and the pressure of direct use of tap water, so water floss is mainly divided into two types according to the structure: electric water floss and faucet water floss. The water pressure is generated by an AC pump, which is more stable than tap water. The water outlet diameter of the water floss nozzle is related to its water pressure. If the water outlet diameter of the nozzle is large and large, the pressure will naturally be small, which may not achieve the effect of cleaning the deep part. The choice of nozzles is mainly based on standard nozzles, and users can use different nozzles according to the water pressure. In addition, since the nozzle needs to touch the inside of the mouth, it is best to use the nozzle separately if multiple people use it to avoid bacterial infection.
Generally, there are four washing techniques for water flossing, including pulse, oxygen, jet, and direct jet. The most convenient and most comfortable to use is the use of pulsed high-pressure water flow because it cleans the oral cavity through short-time high-frequency jets of water.
Fixed frequency type: Most of them use AC 220V fixed speed motor to drive the water pump to generate constant pulse water flow, and the pulse rate is fixed at about 1200 times per minute. Pay attention to its high heat generation rate during use, so do not use it for more than 2 minutes at a time, and use it for no more than 5 minutes every 2 hours to prevent the machine from overheating and malfunctioning.
Household frequency conversion type: it adopts a high-power DC motor, and controls the pulse frequency through the computer chip to realize the frequency conversion control of the water flow. The pulse frequency can be adjusted within the range of 1320-1500 times per minute. At the same time, it can also adjust the amount of water intake. The higher the vibration frequency, the better the cleaning effect.
In terms of safety and operation, the variable-frequency water flosser is safer than the fixed-frequency water flosser.
